2003 Entrepreneur of the Year
Each year, the Haller
Enterprise Institute recognizes a successful business owner who has demonstrated
entrepreneurial leadership. The award is presented at the Institute's annual
fall dinner at which time the Haller
Scholarship recipients are recognized.
The 2003
Entrepreneur of the Year Award is presented to Mr.
Gene Kirila, II, President, G.K. Ventures.
The Haller Enterprise Entrepreneur of the Year Award dinner was held at 6:30pm,
Monday, October 6, 2003 in the Lutheran Heritage Room of the Howard Miller Student
Center.
The purpose of the Haller
Enterprise Institute at Thiel College is to support individuals who are
seeking self-employment through business ownership. The Institute believes that
innovation, creativity and new product service development can best be achieved
through self-employment. The concept of entrepreneurship is based upon the principles
of self-determination, self-reliance, self-respect and individual initiative.
